I'm a counselor, or if you prefer therapist or psychotherapist, who is honored every day to join individuals, couples, and families on their journey of change. My passion is helping individuals discover, understand and heal who they are; and grow, develop, and transform into what they want. I support couples and families to connect and communicate with one another in a more meaningful way and to accept each other where they are. My expertise is in relationship issues, trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. I incorporate a variety of modalities depending on the needs of the client, including trauma-informed, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, attachment work, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and/or Solution-focused.

Personal:
I am daughter, sister, auntie, niece, bonus mom, fur-baby mother, and friend. I consider myself a widow, as I lost my fiancé due to a catastrophic medical anomaly, and am blessed to continue to be a part of his family. I am a Christian. I am a foodie and I love to cook; very therapeutic, not just the eating but the shopping, preparing, cutting, and cooking too (notice I didn't mention clean up...ugh). I love to knit and crochet; fingerless gloves are my favorite thing to make.
Each of us is a work in progress, under construction, as it were.
A mistake is an opportunity for growth.
Practice makes progress, not perfection.
Slow change, over time, is lasting.
Pet peeves: "always", "never", "should", "but", and "fix".
