My mission to join you on your journey with agape and empower you to transform into the best version of yourself. Agape helps set the room for therapy. Agape, translated from ancient Greek, means "unconditional love". This word (to give and to receive agape a.k.a. unconditional love) has been very near my heart since I was a teenager. In school, I learned about Carl Rogers (American Psychologist in 1940's) who captured the concept of "unconditional positive regard" (aka "the basic acceptance and support of a person regardless of what the person says or does"). This is one of Carl Roger's three core conditions to promote change. The other two are congruence/genuineness and accurate empathetic understanding, which I also strongly believe are necessary in the therapeutic process. In essence, agape and unconditional positive regard are the same; and are the foundation for providing a safe, nonjudgmental environment for someone to grow and change. I believe when we know, understand, and feel unconditional love; we are more able to be vulnerable, to look into ourselves, to work through our wounds and endure hardship and suffering; we are more capable of genuinely connecting with others; and we are more able to thrive and grow in life.

What to expect...
Counseling is not an immediate fix. It is a process. You reaching out to schedule an appointment is the first step. Once we are scheduled, you will receive a link to the client portal to complete intake paperwork before the first appointment. When you arrive for your appointment time, the counselor will greet you in the waiting room, go to the office, and we take the next step in the process. I look forward to meeting you. Please go to the "Contact the Therapist" page to call/text, message, or email to ask questions or to schedule an appointment.
